About This Meal Planner Printable Pack
So, what’s inside this handy printable pack? I’ve tried to include a variety of layouts because I know everyone’s planning style is a bit different. You’ll find several useful pages to get your meals sorted.
Here’s a quick look at the different types of planners included:
- Weekly “MENU Planner”: This is a classic grid with days of the week (Sunday or Monday start options) down the side. Across the top, you have columns for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks. It’s great for a detailed daily overview.
- Weekly “MEAL Planner”: Very similar to the MENU planner, but this one has cheerful, beautiful headers for each meal category. It also comes with both Sunday and Monday start versions.
- “MEAL Planner & SHOPPING LIST”: This layout features boxes for each day of the week (again, Sunday or Monday start) where you can jot down your main meal. Crucially, it has a dedicated, long column on the side for your shopping list. So convenient!
- “Favorite” Lists: I’ve included separate pages to list your “Favorite Breakfasts,” “Favorite Lunches,” “Favorite Dinners,” and “Favorite Snacks.” These are fantastic for brainstorming and keeping a go-to list of meals your family loves.
- “Favorite MEALS” Grid: This is another grid layout like the weekly planner but titled “Favorite MEALS.” You can use this to categorize your favorite meal ideas by Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks for quick reference.
- “Monthly MEAL Planner”: For those who like to plan further ahead, there’s a monthly calendar grid (with Sunday or Monday start options). Each day has a small space, and there’s a “NOTES” section at the bottom.
All these pages are designed to be clear, easy to use, and have a touch of color to make planning a bit more cheerful!

How to Use These Meal Planners Effectively
Getting started with these printables is easy. Here are some ideas on how to make the most of each type of planner in the pack.
For the Weekly Grid Planners (“MENU Planner” / “Weekly MEAL Planner”):
- Choose your starting day (Sunday or Monday).
- Sit down once a week (Sunday evening is popular) and fill in the blanks for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks for each day.
- Think about your schedule for the week – any busy nights? Plan quick meals for those.
- Refer to your “Favorite Meals” lists if you need inspiration!
For the “MEAL Planner & SHOPPING LIST”:
- This one is great if you primarily focus on planning dinners or main meals.
- As you fill in your meal ideas for each day, jot down the ingredients you’ll need in the “SHOPPING LIST” column.
- Once your week is planned, your shopping list is already half-done! Just add any other staples you need.
For the “Favorite” Lists (Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners, Snacks):
- Take some time to brainstorm with your family. What are everyone’s favorite dishes?
- Write them down on these sheets. You can categorize them if you like (e.g., “Quick Dinners,” “Chicken Dinners”).
- Keep these lists handy when you’re doing your weekly planning – they are a goldmine of ideas when you feel stuck.
For the “Monthly MEAL Planner”:
- This is useful for long-range planning or for noting special occasion meals, birthdays, or when you’re trying out a specific new recipe each week.
- You can also use it to theme your days or weeks (e.g., “Meatless Mondays,” “Taco Tuesdays”).
- The “NOTES” section can be used for reminders, grocery items for specific big meals, or ideas for the next month.
Making Meal Planning a Little More Fun

Using pretty printables like these can genuinely make the task more enjoyable. The bright beige color is a nice touch.
Make it a relaxing ritual. Brew a cup of tea or coffee, put on some music, and sit down with your planners.
Use it as an excuse to browse new recipes! Find one or two new things to try each week to keep things interesting.
Don’t forget to schedule in “treat” meals or takeout nights. It’s all about balance.
