Step 1: The Head
Start by drawing a simple circle in the middle of your paper. This will be the head of your bee. Make sure to leave plenty of room to the right for the body and wings that we will add in the next few steps.

This circle doesn’t have to be perfect—a slightly wobbly one gives your bee more personality!
Step 2: The Face
Next, let’s give our bee a happy face. Inside the circle, draw two small arched lines for the eyes to make the bee look like it is happily blinking.

Add a tiny “U” shape for a cute smile. Finally, draw two very small lines on the side for little blush marks. This makes your bee look friendly and cheerful.
Step 3: The Wings
Now it is time to add the wings. On the upper right side of the head, draw two large petal-like shapes.

The wings should look like a flattened heart shape or two ovals meeting at a point where they join the head. These are the wings that will help your bee fly from flower to flower!
Step 4: Antennae and the Body
Let’s give our bee some antennae and a body. On top of the head, draw two short, curved lines with a small solid circle at the tip of each one.

Then, starting from the back of the head, draw a large, rounded semi-circle or oval shape. This forms the main body of the bee, sitting right behind the wings.
Step 5: The Stripes
What is a bee without its stripes? Inside the body shape you just drew, sketch three or four curved lines.

These lines should follow the curve of the body to make the bee look round and “plump.” These stripes are the most famous part of a bee’s look, so make sure they are nice and clear.
Step 6: Stinger and Legs
Last but not least, we need to add the final details. At the very back of the body, draw a small triangle shape for the stinger.

Then, at the bottom of the body, draw four tiny, curved lines to represent the legs. Your bee is now finished and ready to buzz around your page!
Congratulations! You have officially learned how to draw a bee.

Time to Color
Now that you have finished your bee drawing, it’s time to color it. The classic choice is to use bright yellow and black for the body and stripes.

You can leave the wings white or give them a very light blue tint. Don’t forget to color the little blush marks pink!
Happy drawing!
