Step 1: The Head Shape
To start your fox, we need to draw the head. Draw a wide, rounded shape that comes to a slight point at the top.

On the left and right sides, add a few small zig-zag lines to represent the fluffy fur on the fox’s cheeks. This gives the head a more natural, furry look.
Step 2: Drawing the Face
Next, let’s bring your fox to life with a face. Inside the head shape, draw two solid circles for the eyes.

In the middle, slightly below the eyes, draw a small, rounded oval for the nose. Right under the nose, add a tiny curved line for a happy little mouth.
Step 3: Ears and Chest Fluff
Foxes have very distinct ears. Draw two large, pointed triangle shapes on top of the head.

Then, move to the bottom of the head and draw a pointed “V” shape with a little zig-zag on the side. This will be the white fluff on the fox’s chest.
Step 4: Inner Ears and Front Legs
Now, add a smaller triangle inside each ear to show the inner ear detail. Below the chest fluff, draw two curved lines extending downward.

These will be the start of the fox’s front legs.
Step 5: Finishing the Front Paws and Sitting Body
Complete the front legs by drawing two small, rounded “U” shapes at the bottom of the lines you just made.

These are the front paws. At this point, your fox should look like it is standing firmly on its front feet.
Since our fox is sitting down, we need to draw the back. Starting from the right side of the head, draw a long, sweeping curve that goes down and loops back toward the front legs.
This represents the fox’s back and its hind leg tucked in.
Step 7: The Bushy Tail
A fox isn’t complete without its big, bushy tail! Draw a large, curved oval shape starting from the back of the body.

Make the tail look nice and full—foxes are famous for their thick “brushes.”
To finish your drawing, add a zig-zag line near the end of the tail to mark the white tip that many foxes have.
Finally, add two small horizontal lines on each front leg to show where the “socks” or darker fur on the paws begin.
Congratulations! You have officially learned how to draw a fox.

Color Your Fox
Now that your drawing is finished, it’s time to add some color. Most foxes are a bright orange or red-orange color.

You can leave the chest fluff, the tip of the tail, and the cheeks white or lighter orange shade. For the paws and the tips of the ears, a dark brown or black works great to give it that classic fox look!
Happy drawing!
