Paper Handprint Bunny Craft | Handprint Bunnies
This handprint bunny craft is such a sweet and simple activity for spring or Easter.
You only need paper, scissors, and a few markers, so it’s a great craft when you don’t want to pull out a big box of supplies.
Pin For Later

Kids can trace their own hand, cut it out, and turn it into a cute little bunny with ears, arms, and a funny face.
It’s also a nice keepsake craft because the bunny is made from your child’s handprint.
Why This Handprint Bunny Craft Is So Fun
This craft is easy, quick, and perfect for kids who enjoy cutting and drawing.
The best part is that every bunny turns out a little different.

Some bunnies can look happy, sleepy, silly, surprised, or even a little grumpy.
Kids can also choose different paper colors, so you can make a whole group of colorful spring bunnies.
Supplies You’ll Need
You only need a few basic things for this bunny craft.

Supplies Needed:
Below are the supplies that you’ll need to have to get the best out of these gift tags!
- Construction paper or colored paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Pink marker or crayon
- Black pen or marker
You can also use plain white paper if that’s what you already have.
Colored paper makes the bunnies look extra cute, but any paper will work for this easy craft.
How To Make A Handprint Bunny
Start by tracing your child’s hand on the paper, but don’t trace too tightly around the fingers.

Make the handprint a little wider than the real hand shape. This helps the bunny ears and arms look fuller instead of too thin.

Once the handprint is traced, cut it out carefully using a scissor.
Try to cut small V shapes between the fingers instead of rounded curves. This makes the bunny shape look cleaner once the fingers become ears and arms.

Next, cut a small slit beside the pinky finger.
The slit should go down around the same level as the space beside the thumb. We want to do that so that when we fold the thumb and the pinky finger, they both should be able to meet and form a folded hand gesture.

Now fold the pinky finger inward toward the center of the handprint.
This will become one of the bunny’s little arms.
Then fold the thumb inward toward the center too.

Try to fold both sides so the two little arms almost touch in the middle. It makes the bunny look like it is holding its hands together.
After that, cut off the middle finger from the handprint.

Now the two fingers left at the top will become the bunny ears.
Use a pink marker, crayon, or pencil crayon to color the inside of the bunny ears.
You can draw simple pink ear shapes inside both ears.

Then use the same pink marker to draw a small oval nose in the middle of the bunny’s face.
Now take a black pen or marker and draw the bunny’s face.

Add two eyes, whiskers, and a little mouth.
You can make the bunny smile, look sleepy, or give it a funny expression.
To finish the craft, draw two small paws near the bottom of the handprint.

These will look like the bunny’s little feet.
And that’s it. Your paper handprint bunny is ready.
One cute thing that can happen is the paper ears may curl up a little after coloring them with marker.

It actually makes the bunny look even sweeter and gives it a little more personality.
Fun Ideas To Try
You can make this craft in so many simple ways.
Try using pastel paper for an Easter look.
Use white paper and let kids color the whole bunny themselves.

Make a few bunnies in different sizes using different family members’ handprints.
You can also glue the bunnies onto a card, a classroom display, or a spring craft board.
Tips For Younger Kids
If you’re making this with preschoolers or toddlers, trace and cut the handprint ahead of time.
Then let them color the ears and draw the face.

If they are still learning to use scissors, this is a good craft to practice with adult help.
Keep the supplies simple so the activity stays fun and easy.
Where To Use These Paper Bunnies
These little bunnies are great for Easter cards, spring decorations, or classroom crafts.

You can tape them to a wall, add them to a bulletin board, or place them on a table for Easter.
They also make a sweet handmade gift for parents, grandparents, or teachers.
