Remember, <strong>less is often more<\/strong> when it comes to graphic design elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bold shapes, patterns, text, and colors<\/strong> tend to show up better than faint and complex designs. Spend time perfecting your design and get it ready for printing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Choosing_the_Right_Paper_and_Inks\"><\/span>3. Choosing the Right Paper and Inks<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sublimation requires <strong>specialized paper and inks<\/strong> that vaporize and bond to the polymer coating on tumblers and other items during the heat press process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be sure to use inkjet printers compatible with <a href=\"https:\/\/dyethrive.com\/how-long-does-sublimation-ink-last\/\">sublimation inks<\/a>, as well as paper specifically made for sublimation transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Popular brands like TexPrint or Beaver paper work very well. Follow the printer and paper manufacturer&#8217;s guidelines on print settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An appropriate <strong>high quality print mode<\/strong> will be necessary, like &#8220;Best Photo&#8221; or equivalent setting. This slows down the print speed while maximizing ink saturation and detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always use inks formulated specifically for <strong>dye-sublimation<\/strong>. They contain special heat activated dyes that vaporize when heat is applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use ink cartridges from reputable brands known for <strong>quality<\/strong> sublimation like Sawgrass.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Getting_the_Print_Ready\"><\/span>4. Getting the Print Ready<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your design is ready and your paper and ink is loaded in your printer, you&#8217;ll need to set your design correctly for printing. Open the file in Photoshop or another image editing program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure the dimensions match the size you want the design to be on the tumbler. Double check the resolution is <strong>300 PPI<\/strong> or higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This gives enough image detail for the design to print cleanly. Placing The Print Around The Tumbler<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your design is printed out, you&#8217;ll need to do some trimming to get it ready for the tumbler. Take your time and carefully <a href=\"https:\/\/dyethrive.com\/how-to-remove-logo-from-shirt\/\">cut out the printed design<\/a> from the sublimation paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remove any excess paper around the image so only the design itself remains. Always wear gloves while doing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So voilaa!! you are done!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You have successfully sublimated the tumbler using your convection oven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips_for_Washing_and_Caring_for_Sublimated_Tumblers\"><\/span>Tips for Washing and Caring for Sublimated Tumblers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hand washing with <strong>mild soap<\/strong> and water is recommended for keeping sublimated tumblers looking their best. Avoid <strong>harsh detergents<\/strong> and scrubbing that can degrade the print over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Never wash in the <strong>dishwasher<\/strong>, as the harsh temperatures and chemical detergents will quickly fade and ruin the sublimated artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>maximum vibrance<\/strong>, wash the tumbler in <strong>cold water<\/strong> and avoid long soak times.
